You will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of what's known and solve tomorrow's problems. In this role you will work on sending Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), and negotiating purchase orders (PO), while managing orders to completion and building relationships with our CM suppliers. Be a part of a team that not only fosters open communication of ideas but encourages innovation at every level. This position may be based in Linthicum, Maryland or San Diego, California. This position will specifically support the Mechanical category.

The Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and executing a mixed portfolio of subcontracts
- Managing performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
- Identifying strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
- Understanding the buyer and seller’s roles to establish mutually successful business arrangements
- Specifying solicitations and bid packages
- Evaluating proposals and negotiating prices/terms
- Developing and administrating contractual documentation and post awards
- Leveraging your skill and talents throughout this role
- Creating and establishing commercial determinations for purchase awards

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: Supply Chain, Business Management, Project Management, or Customer Service
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Experience in MS Office suite
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS
- Supplier selection/management experience on US Government contract(s)
- Experience working within a government approved purchasing system
- Experience with management of complex subcontracts
