Job Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic and data-driven Forecasting & Demand Planning Manager to lead global demand planning, forecasting, and planning transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate demand signals, optimizing inventory and service levels, and driving cross-functional alignment across Finance, Supply Chain, Category Management, GBU and Operations.
In addition to traditional forecasting responsibilities, the successful candidate will lead the evolution of demand planning capabilities through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), predictive analytics, and automation technologies. The role will help shape the future of planning by creating intelligent forecasting processes that improve accuracy, agility, and business decision-making.
Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting Leadership
Lead end-to-end demand planning and forecasting processes across a 0-18 month planning horizon.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve statistical and consensus forecasting methodologies.
Drive monthly forecasting, demand reviews, and SIOP/S&OP processes to align demand, supply, inventory, and financial objectives.
Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, attainment, and other planning KPIs, implementing corrective actions as required.
Translate market insights, portfolio strategies, NPI/EOL transitions, and customer signals like big deals into actionable demand plans.
Optimize inventory, service levels, working capital, and supply continuity through proactive planning.
AI & Planning Transformation
Define and execute the AI roadmap for forecasting and demand planning.
Implement machine learning and predictive analytics models to improve forecast accuracy and identify demand drivers.
Partner with GBU, Data Science, IT, and Analytics teams to develop and scale AI-based forecasting solutions.
Drive adoption of generative AI and intelligent planning assistants to automate forecasting workflows, scenario generation, and executive reporting.
Establish governance for AI forecasting models, ensuring transparency, explainability, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Lead the transition from rule-based planning to intelligent, self-learning forecasting systems.
Analytics & Insights
Leverage advanced analytics to identify market trends, demand patterns, risks, and opportunities.
Develop predictive indicators and early-warning systems for demand volatility and supply disruptions.
Provide scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and simulation modeling to support strategic business decisions.
Utilize planning platforms, BI tools, and AI solutions to generate actionable business insights.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Markets, Supply Planning, Fulfillment Planning, Finance, Product Management, and GBU teams to build consensus plans.
Facilitate executive reviews and planning forums to manage business risks and opportunities.
Influence strategic decisions through data-driven recommendations and storytelling.
Align forecasting assumptions and methodologies across organizations and planning horizons.
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing global forecasting and demand planning organization.
Develop talent in forecasting, analytics, AI literacy, and digital planning capabilities.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Coach teams on advanced planning techniques, statistical forecasting, and AI-driven decision making.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
8-12+ years of experience in category, demand planning, forecasting, supply chain management, or business planning.
3-5+ years leading global or regional teams.
Proven experience in S&OP/SIOP and integrated business planning environments.
Demonstrated success implementing forecasting or other transformation initiatives.
Experience working with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced forecasting solutions preferred.

Salary
The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
