US-VA-Norfolk Intern Full-time

The successful candidate will be a charismatic leader with robust communication and problem-solving skills. You will work a flexible schedule, providing coverage to ensure effective oversight during shift operations. Availability for occasional weekend hours is necessary.

Job Description:

The Site Supervisor will report directly to the Site Manager and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the flight schedule, ensuring they are conducted in the safest manner possible. The supervisor will have oversight over all aspects of maintenance operations, including program quality, logistics, training, analysis, and metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the secondary point of contact with GFR/GGFR.

  • Oversee workforce in executing principles, standards, and techniques of operations, QA, GOP, aircraft maintenance, and contract requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, DOD, state, and local regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance and environmental protection.

  • Implement strategies and metrics to track performance and apply countermeasure diagnostic tools to address gaps.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Represent Amentum with professional standards of dress, hygiene, and conduct.

Performance Standards:

  • Set and model standards, demonstrating leadership.

  • Prioritize and schedule assignments.

  • Monitor program performance and take appropriate action.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Maintain and update records accurately.

  • Produce quality products and services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 combined years of Aviation Operations Management experience in QA, ES&H, contracts, and/or Maintenance.

  • Minimum 3 years of aviation QA management.

  • Minimum 3 years of aviation ES&H management.

  • Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance management.

  • Valid driver’s license and US Passport.

  • Proficient with office automation software (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel).

  • Willingness to work alternate shift schedules when necessary, including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be eligible to obtain / maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior U.S. Navy aviation experience on H-60 aircraft highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - 90,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay may include skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position includes a competitive benefits package, to include:

  • The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:  medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance.

  • Paid vacation. Annual allotment in the form of a biweekly accrual as follows:  120 hours for 0-4 years of service, 160 hours for 4-9 years of service, 200 hours for more than 10 years of service.

  • 4 weeks of paid parental leave.

  • 10 Paid holidays annually (prorated dependent on hire date).

Compensation Details:

$86,000 annually
