Storeperson

 Who are we - Wittenbaker Engineering Services, is a part of Motion and operates a diverse manufacturing company. Our quality products find their use in the challenging Australian mining, oil & gas, power generation, marine and rail environments. 

Based in our modern workshop we require the services of quality skilled Storeperson to join its strong, growing and diverse team.  

Job tasks and responsibilities 

• Receive and inspect incoming goods 

• Manage consumables stocks as required  

• Inspect finished items according to job traveler and ensure a high-quality standard 

• Assist in pick packing and dispatch, ensuring only the highest quality product and packaging leaves the workshop. 

• Soft seal and mark items if required 

• Print labels and attach to goods 

• Pick up and deliver items 

• Monitor lifting operations up to 5 tonne 

• Inspect lifting equipment daily and complete reports within schedule 

• Perform company vehicle and forklift inspections & pre-starts 

• Ensure a safe and clean workshop 

• Assist in other areas and personnel as directed by the Workshop Manager 

Skills and experience 

• 2+ years’ experience within the mechanical manufacturing industry or in a similar industry.  

• Experience using ERP – Systems 

• Manual drivers license essential 

• Forklift ticket essential 

• Rigging ticket would be advantageous  

• Able to operate electrical hand tools 

• Organizational skills essential 

• Being fast, efficient, reliable and productive 

• Fast learning ability 

• Excellent communication in English 

• Valid working visa / Australia work rights essential
