Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most powerful and dependable jet engines, is looking for a dedicated individual to support our Hollow Fan Blade Material Control Lab. The individual must be a self-starter who has the capacity to work in a dynamic environment and possesses the motivation and dedication to meet the needs of our customers and be an active participant advancing the performance, capabilities, and efficiency of the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and evaluation of metallurgical test specimens
- Support the development of new processes and materials through the performance of metallurgical preparation and evaluations
- Provide training and development of support contractors
- Support the scheduling of workloads and job assignments
- Interface with production management as well as the salary hourly workforce to explain metallurgical results
- Participate in root cause and corrective action
- Support the development of new processes and materials through the performance of metallurgical preparation and evaluations
- Participate and lead continuous improvement events
- This is a second shift role. Typical hours are ~2:00PM - 10:00PM
Qualifications you must have:
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, a Lab environment, Metallurgical sample preparation, evaluation, and/or report documentation.
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Quality background and general familiarity with the performance of root cause and corrective action investigations
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and procedures to assess the conformance of test specimens to meet requirements.
- Ability to prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment and multitask as required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a group setting and interface directly with shop floor operators and inspection personnel.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
