Sr System Engineer

- Exhibit expert-level skills in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
- Oversee and lead complex system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management activities.
- Analyze and review Software Architectures to meet system and hardware level requirements.
- Understand different Software Architectures and be able to modify, recommend, and correct proposed Architectures for a "best fit" approach at a minimal cost.
- Manage major project deliverables and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Leverage deep knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Provide strong leadership and effective communication.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Expert proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.
- Proven leadership experience in systems engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
- Experience with software testing best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong configuration management skills
- Experience with Windows Active Directory
- Experience with Virtual Machines, containers, and hypervisors
- Working knowledge of software concepts, including programming languages, software architecture, and development methodologies
- Background in hardware and software integration in lab or operational environment
- Experience working with subcontractors/vendors during development and delivery of a product
- Extensive background in assessing and addressing Aerospace and Defense System Complexity and System Integration challenges
- Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team through system baseline definition and maturation exercises in a complex development setting
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Thorough understanding of establishing, tracking, and addressing key programmatic risks
- Experience creating and executing regression test / acceptance test for hardware and software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications
- Previous Experiences with authoring CDRS and SDRL deliverables
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Hand/finger dexterity for system modeling and documentation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
