Job Description
This leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to influence and execute the North America EMS materials strategy for Motorola Solutions, Inc. Reporting to the Director of Global Materials & Supply Planning, you will lead inbound supply, focusing primarily on two key Mexican EMS partners. You will be the operational cornerstone, ensuring seamless supply flow to meet revenue goals and enhance customer experience. This position provides significant cross-functional visibility and fosters rich learning interactions across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics Operations/Procurement, and Supply Chain software systems (ERP/Supplier Collaboration).
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Leadership: Own and drive the end-to-end supply planning functions for the Mexico supply base. Responsibilities may expand to other North America EMS locations based upon business strategy.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong operational relationships with supply partners to ensure reliable and efficient material flow. The ability to both identify and influence decision-makers, as well as drive accountability with supply partners is crucial to the success of this position.
Revenue and Customer Alignment: Collaborate closely with Business Operations and Delivery Management to synchronize supply plans with revenue targets and optimize the customer experience.
Operational Excellence: Lead the operational execution of supply plans, including establishing and managing operational cadences, evaluating inventory and capacity strategies and impacts, approving/denying cost implications, and overseeing component safety planning.
Process Maturity & Excellence: Design and implement standardized supply planning frameworks across the region to ensure operational processes can scale seamlessly in alignment with business growth and regional expansion.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 2-3 direct reports at the Manager or Senior Manager level, with oversight of an extended team of ~15 employees.
Organizational Improvement: Develop a robust talent management program to create a talent pipeline and best practices for onboarding and integration as we continue to scale our footprint in the region.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key customer and regional owner for Supply Planning processes, ensuring adherence to cadences and effective utilization of Supplier Collaboration tools.
Strategic Initiatives: Actively participate in strategic business initiatives from concept to implementation, contributing supply chain expertise and insights.
Problem Solving and Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and resolve core challenges and capitalize on opportunities within business processes.
Insight and Analysis: Provide insightful analysis and reporting on the company's operations to inform decision-making.
Risk Management: Assess and communicate potential risks associated with business decisions.
Travel: Expect a high frequency of travel to and from Reynosa and Guadalajara along with 2-4x/per year travel to Chicago for cross-functional meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPIM / APICS certification preferred
Core analytic skills to independently dive into an unclear situation and make sense of it. Skills in Google Sheets, Slides and Excel are key. Along with experience in Tableau, PowerBI. Experience in Oracle is an advantage.
Spanish language proficiency is highley desired
Proven experience managing an EMS relationship.
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and best practices.
Experience with ERP and Supplier Collaboration software systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Experience participating in and driving strategic initiatives.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
Target Base Salary Range: $120,300 - $170,000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain planning, materials management, demand management, inventory planning or related field
