Sr. Product Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
Provide expert technical support for product and system prototypes.
Lead and manage product installation, testing, and validation projects.
Diagnose and resolve critical technical issues and defects.
Develop and implement advanced corrective actions in collaboration with engineering teams.
Create and oversee the maintenance of high-quality technical documentation.
Conduct comprehensive customer needs assessments and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Lead product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical workshops.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
Drive strategic initiatives to improve product support processes and performance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
10+ years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Expert-level troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Extensive experience with product installation and testing processes.
Progressive hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers.
Communication and customer interface skills.
Comprehensive understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems.
Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
Willing to TDY for extensive amounts of time.
Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience with advanced prototype or concept product development.
Comprehensive knowledge of Aerospace and Defense industry standards and practices.
Relevant technical certifications [e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP)].
Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics.
Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors.
Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), vehicle installation and maintenance procedures.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.
Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization.
Essential Functions:
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Hand/finger dexterity for operating computer equipment.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
Occasional travel may be required.
