Raytheon Supply Chain has an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to join our Land & Air Defense Systems collaborative procurement team.  The selected individual will be responsible for leading procurement efforts in support of Mechanical Hardware / Electrical components for multiple LADS programs across the Raytheon portfolio. In this role, you will foster relationships with suppliers, administer procurements in a fashion consistent with integrated supply chain models, recognizing the role and value of each participant through the acquisition life cycle from requirements generation through product delivery, product support, and payment for products and services.  You will engage in supplier performance, relationship management, and strategic sourcing in support of the various contracts.

What You Will Do:

• Manage day to day purchasing activities to ensure the organization/ programs have the materials, goods, and services needed to operate efficiently.

• Manage supplier performance to adhere to contractual requirements / adherence to flow downs

• Maintain accurate documentation of high volume / medium complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFARs) and Raytheon corporate compliance requirements.

• Manage procurement related “metrics” (PR/PO notes, Receiving issues, Accounts Payable – invoice approval, supplier PO acknowledgement, material delivery constraints / MRP non-support (past-future), and On-Time-Delivery (OTD).

• Review drawings, specifications, and purchase history to determine sourcing strategy for production and build-to-print parts

• Prepare, issue, and analyze Request for Quotes (RFQs)

• Prepare PO documentation (utilizing Raytheon’s EPAD tool) in accordance with company directives, prime contract flow downs and company work instructions (command media).

• Create Commercial Item Determination (CID) – supplier Assertion of Commerciality (as applicable)

• Perform price/cost analysis techniques in support of proposals and PO placement – at a proficiency level.

• Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions)

• Nurture professional business relationships with first-tier suppliers

• Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc) to achieve objectives including delivery / financial goals

• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.

• Coordinate and facilitate (lead) meetings between suppliers and internal customers

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree in related field OR In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field

• Knowledge of sourcing practices, contract terms, and procurement standards.

• Ability to analyze data, compare quotes, and make cost effective decisions

• SAP based environment experience

• Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal internal customers.

• Able to establish internal/external relationships and influence others to get the job done.

• Problem solving and critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity.

• Organizational skills with ability to adequately plan, prioritize, and coordinate.

• Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)

• Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price etc.)

• Assess proposal compliance (FAR 15.4)

• Experience with single / sole source, over-TINA procurements

• Ability to travel as required (limited).

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
