Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Industrial Security Analyst/CSSO. This position will report directly to the Corporate Office Security Manager. This position is an on-site position and will be based out of Falls Church, VA.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution and oversight of the Industrial Security Program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), customer requirements, and internal policies.

Responsibilities:

This position develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Work as point of contact for alarms/response and work closely with the Enterprise Security Control Center (ESCC).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds and maintains a strong security program compliant with the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and all other applicable security requirements.

  • Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.

  • Studies and implements U.S. security regulations that apply to company operations.

  • Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.

  • Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to records and materials.

  • Provide security guidance and training to junior employees, site leadership, and program teams.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive security education, training, and awareness program.

  • Successfully plans and performs all manner of security inspections, including self-inspections, CSA inspections, and internal inspections, as required.

  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.

  • Investigates security incidents and prepares reports to submit to CSA personnel.

  • Leads and performs the security tasks associated with the construction or modification and approval of classified areas.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains all manner of required security documentation to include OPSEC plans, CONOPS, SOPs, desktop instructions, and more.

  • Performs all manner of contract security classification actions including reviewing and interpreting Form DD-254, creating Form DD-254 for subcontractors, and more.

  • Provide security guidance and training to junior employees, site leadership, and program teams.

  • Supporting corporate office security requirements, including emergency response, crisis management, and executive engagements. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience to include industrial security or related disciplines OR Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience to include industrial security or related disciplines OR Associate’s Degree with 10 years of experience to include industrial security or related disciplines OR High School Diploma with 12 years of experience to include industrial security or related disciplines.

  • Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Top Secret level security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SAP and SCI access as a condition of continued employment.  

  • Possess a thorough understanding and working knowledge of NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 and ICD security standards as well as OPSEC, personnel, industrial, cyber, physical and information security principles.

  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a CSSO (Contract SAP Security Officer).

  • Understanding and familiarity of DD-254 implementation requirements.

  • Proficient with NISS, DISS, JADE and SIMs or similar databases.

  • Experience with customer high side networks to include CV2, CORE, CNET, etc.

  • Understanding and familiarity of DD-254 implementation requirements.

  • Demonstrated positive working relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Experience completing compliance self-inspections and supporting formal customer compliance inspections.

  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.

  • Ability to rapidly adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
