The Role
We're hiring a Senior Agile Coach to help teams build lasting capability, not just run agile ceremonies/events. This is a product oriented agile transformation, not just a process one, so product thinking and customer orientation are just as central to this role as agile practice itself. You'll work with teams across a wide range of maturity, from groups just beginning their journey to teams already pushing toward high performance, and you'll need to quickly read where a team is and adapt accordingly.
You'll coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, team members, and leaders alike, helping each of them understand and own their role in the transformation, including how they think about their product, their customers, and their backlog.
This is a high trust, high autonomy role. We're looking for someone who can be handed a team, quickly build credibility, and then step back as that team increases its agile maturity.
We're hiring two Senior Agile Coaches and looking for a complementary pair. One will lean more heavily into coaching and product orientation. The other will bring genuine development skills, particularly Power BI database administration, and data visualization, to help us tell the story of team progress, maturity, and performance through real metrics and dashboards, in addition to coaching. If you're strong in one area and developing in the other, tell us where you naturally lean.
What You'll Do
Coach teams end to end, building the independent capability to sustain their own agile and product practices
Assess a team's current maturity quickly and accurately, and calibrate your approach to meet them where they are
Coach Scrum Masters and Product Owners directly, building their capability to run their own teams without ongoing coach support
Coach leaders and team members on their role in a product-oriented transformation, not just the mechanics of ceremonies/events
Help teams shift from a project mindset to a product-oriented mindset, including how they think about customers and their backlog
Facilitate and continuously improve core agile ceremonies/events in ways that fit infrastructure and cybersecurity work
Guide teams toward becoming genuinely high performing, self-managing, and product and customer oriented
Facilitate targeted workshops on topics such as backlog refinement, definition of done, and other applicable topics to help teams learn and grow
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that turn team maturity, progress, and other key data into a clear, compelling story for leadership and other dashboard customers
Partner with the coaching bench to identify what metrics matter and design visualizations that make team progress easy to understand
What You Bring
5+ years of Agile coaching experience, including experience coaching multiple teams at different levels of maturity at the same time
A track record of taking teams from low agile maturity to genuinely high performing, self-sufficient practice
Strong product and customer orientation, with the ability to coach teams on product thinking, not just agile mechanics
Strong facilitation skills, including experience with immersive or embedded coaching models (dojo experience a strong plus)
Experience coaching infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT operations, or other operationally focused teams that don't fit a typical software development mold
Broad exposure across multiple agile frameworks and methods (for example Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Extreme Programming), with the ability to pull the right tool for a given team
Certifications from respected organizations such as Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, ICAgile, Scrum Inc., SAFe, Kanban University, or PMI. Credentials like CSP, ICP‑ACC, PMI‑ACP, SAFe SPC, KCP, or Scrum@Scale Practitioner are especially valuable. Coaching certifications from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) are a strong plus
Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and reporting tools; ability to independently build dashboards that turn raw team data into a clear story and useful insights
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, enough to pull, shape, and query the data behind those dashboards
Demonstrated comfort with high autonomy and high trust: being handed a team and running with it, with minimal oversight
Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfort working with a US based leadership team, and aligning work hours to US time zones
What Success Looks Like
Teams you coach become genuinely high performing, product oriented, and self-managing, not dependent on you
Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leaders you've coached understand and own their role in sustaining agile and product ways of working
You quickly establish trust and autonomy, enabling teams and leaders to sustain agility long after your direct involvement.
This role is one of two Senior Agile Coach hires supporting our coaching bench.
