Summary of Role:

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking an experienced manager to support the 300mm semiconductor integration team. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration of Silicon Photonic from ramp to production. The ideal candidate has management experience and can demonstrate a technical understanding of Silicon Photonics, a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve the technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for the success of Silicon Photonics baseline integration from handoff of the development team through ramp and mass production
  • Complete ownership of a technology module, accountable for prioritization of projects based on business need, delegation of tasks to extended module team, lead for definition of improvement experiments and hardware disposition
  • Collaborating with device, process module, & packaging team in driving I/O solutions in production
  • Sustaining and improving manufacturing technologies by ensuring product quality, reducing defectivity, improving process stability (Cp/Cpk), and increasing processing efficiency
  • Detecting line issues through data analysis and driving appropriate containment and resolution in a timely manner in order to limit the impact to yield and delivery
  • Driving cost reductions through expense elimination, line and test yield improvement, and efficiency improvements
  • Ensuring product route synchronization with baseline technology
  • Contribute to Intellectual Property by writing innovative invention disclosures.
  • Contribute to publications and conferences with scientific results.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • PHD's/Master Degree with 10+ years of working experience in relevant field. Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
  • Experience in Si photonics preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Results oriented and focused on quality of work
  • Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.
  • Strong presentation and technical writing skills
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment
  • Strong background in photonics and CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization.

Expected Salary Range

$143,000.00 - $247,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
