The Opportunity

The Sr. Brand Manager, Similac Delivery & Performance position is based in Columbus, OH within Abbott’s Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands – including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna® – to help them get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest lives.

This role serves as the strategic and analytical leader responsible for translating brand strategy into measurable commercial results across retail channels. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in business analytics, forecasting, revenue management, and retail execution with strong marketing acumen to identify growth opportunities, optimize investments, and drive profitable market share gains.

The Sr. Brand Manager will lead commercial analytics, performance measurement, retail strategy, pricing architecture, assortment optimization, demand forecasting, and business planning for the Similac portfolio. This individual will leverage consumer, shopper, syndicated, financial, and retail performance data to inform strategic decisions and deliver profitable growth. The role requires a highly analytical marketer who can connect insights to action, influence senior leadership, and ensure flawless execution across cross-functional teams.

This position leads and develops a team, including one or more Brand Managers.

What You'll Work On

Strategic & Commercial Analytics & Marketing Leadership

Serve as the business performance lead for Similac, translating data, insights, and market trends into actionable growth strategies.

  • Lead development of analytics frameworks, performance dashboards, and KPI measurement systems to evaluate business health across channels, customers, and product segments.

  • Identify key consumption drivers, growth opportunities, risks, and market dynamics through rigorous analysis of consumer, shopper, retailer, and syndicated data.

  • Develop data-driven recommendations to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.

  • Own business forecasting processes, scenario planning, and demand projections to support financial and operational decision-making.

  • Conduct advanced analyses on pricing elasticity, promotional effectiveness, assortment optimization, channel productivity, and retail performance.

Retail Strategy & Revenue Growth Management

  • Lead retail strategy development, including channel strategy, assortment recommendations, pricing architecture, promotional guidelines, and commercialization plans.

  • Drive Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives through strategic pricing, mix optimization, and trade investment recommendations.

  • Evaluate distribution opportunities, whitespace opportunities, and channel expansion strategies to accelerate growth.

  • Optimize trade and shopper marketing investments through ROI analysis, performance measurement, and post-event evaluations.

  • Partner with Sales and Category Leadership to develop compelling retailer strategies and customer-facing growth stories.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Translate brand positioning and marketing strategies into actionable retail programs that drive consumer conversion and customer growth.

  • Partner with Innovation teams to support new product launches through business case development, forecast modeling, launch analytics, pricing recommendations, and commercialization planning.

  • Develop executive-level recommendations supported by analytics and strategic rationale.

  • Lead National Sales Meeting content, business planning materials, and senior leadership presentations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Insights & Analytics, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Shopper Marketing, and Executive Leadership to drive business objectives.

  • Influence senior stakeholders through fact-based recommendations and strategic storytelling.

  • Build alignment across functions to ensure effective execution of growth initiatives and business priorities.

  • Develop, coach, and mentor team members while fostering a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in Brand Management, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Growth Management, Category Management, or Consumer-Packaged Goods Marketing.

  • Demonstrated success leveraging analytics and consumer insights to drive strategic business decisions and commercial performance.

  • Strong experience with forecasting, demand planning, profitability analysis, and business performance management.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex, data-driven growth strategies.

  • Experience analyzing syndicated data sources (Circana/IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, retailer POS data, shopper insights, etc.).

  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, pricing analysis, ROI optimization, and trade investment evaluation.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive storytelling capabilities.

  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA strongly preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
