Compensation Range:

$29.33 - $41.06

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

The Special Events TAR position will support a small portfolio of events. This role is responsible for coordinating event logistics, developing communication materials, and handling other event-related needs. On-site staffing is not required for this position. The position will report to the Executive Director of Advancement Event Initiatives.

The term of the position is August 5 through November 1, 2026.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Event Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage event program flow.
  • Coordinate vendors and oversee all event logistics.
  • Ensure successful execution of events from planning through completion.

Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee production of publications and event-related collateral materials.
  • Coordinate mailing lists and manage event marketing and promotional communications.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across event materials.

Leadership & Speaker Support

  • Write briefing materials for speakers and institutional leadership.
  • Coordinate speaker logistics and support leadership participation in events.
  • Prepare event schedules and talking points to ensure seamless presentations.

Event Administration & Project Coordination

  • Manage project timelines and coordinate deliverables across event planning activities.
  • Monitor progress of publications, marketing, vendor coordination, and program development to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align event planning efforts and resolve logistical issues.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently preferred
  • Ability to manage large projects; to gather, condense and synthesize information, and ability to provide accurate analysis and summaries preferred
  • Experience with computer technologies, especially Microsoft Excel preferred
  • A personal belief in mission, goals and objectives of private higher education preferred
