  • System administration or hands-on hardware experience at the server/rack level, and/or workload orchestration

  • Academic or industry familiarity with GPUs, AI, CUDA, or related technologies

  • Ability and eagerness to dig into unfamiliar territories to tackle problems relying on experience from previous work

  • Data center infrastructure experience, from hardware up through workloads running on NVIDIA AI Factories

This posting represents multiple Solutions Architecture Internships in Santa Clara, CA. Some examples are listed below. Apply to this job posting if any of the descriptions below suit your background and career aspirations.

AI Factory Deployment Internship

In this role, you will be a contributing member of an Infrastructure Specialist team. Our work encompasses MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing), Ethernet and InfiniBand networking, DevOps, HPC/AI workloads, cluster administration, and Site Reliability Engineering. You will gain exposure to many aspects of AI Factory deployments. You may help stand up cluster monitoring and telemetry, track utilization and reliability, or automate parts of the bring-up and health-checking process. Applicants should be familiar with Linux system administration, Python, and networking concepts. Working knowledge of Slurm and data sciences is a plus.

AI Factory / AI Cloud Internship

Join the team that helps AI Cloud Providers build efficient, de-risked, stable AI factories: full stack, from the bare-metal rack up through application delivery. This internship focuses on developing true end-to-end architecture understanding, with specific emphasis on delivering highly performant clouds. This is a dynamic space where multiple solutions provide optimal outcomes for our cloud partners, where self-directed engineers thrive. Projects are well-scoped and high-impact. Examples include building agentic solutions to optimize operations, agentic validation of cloud hosting capacity, optimizing inference platforms on customized AI factory hardware, and agentic automation of workflows like BOM → PO → equipment delivery. Helpful backgrounds include network engineering and design, server-level infrastructure/systems work, and operations tooling with a focus on automation.

AI Factory Networking Internship

If you are enthusiastic about accelerated computing (CPU, GPU, DPU) and networking technologies and how they can be applied to the real world, this may be the internship for you. Apply if you have had hands-on experience with data center architectures and the L2-L7 networking protocol stack. Experience working with both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure is a plus, as is system-level experience with both hardware and software. In this role you may troubleshoot network performance, do packet-level debugging, tune InfiniBand or RoCE fabrics for RDMA workloads, or bring up entire network fabrics. Understanding of how GPUs are clustered, leaf-spine topologies, and concepts like RDMA and RoCE will come in handy. You should enjoy a fast-paced, “firefighting” environment: diagnosing issues and jumping into the trenches to get systems working, rather than waiting for a fully pre-defined project.

AI Factory Operations Internship

Interact with engineering, product, and business development teams to help partners leverage NVIDIA technologies for training, fine-tuning, and inference, as well as retrieval and agentic workloads. This position offers a unique chance to develop full-stack skills within an interdisciplinary environment, covering everything from GPU and networking systems to cluster orchestration and production-ready deployments for AI Factories. An understanding of GPU server architecture, containerized (Docker/Kubernetes) and Slurm-based workload orchestration, and modern inference-serving and agentic/LLM frameworks is a plus. Some projects lean toward AI software: model optimization, building performance and reliability “health-check” recipes, and working hands-on alongside senior SAs on real customer workloads. You may also help produce a reference architecture, a benchmark, or a sizing guide that other teams reuse. Familiarity with CUDA, PyTorch or JAX, and modern inference or agentic frameworks is a plus.

AI Models and AI Agents Internship

Engage in projects focused on deploying, training, customizing, and optimizing state-of-the-art AI models in agentic workflows. This internship is an opportunity to work with vision, language, and voice modalities. Help improve the accuracy and performance of AI models on challenging datasets, train partners, and work hands-on with NVIDIA frameworks for training, inference, and agentic workflows. Bring your strong foundation in deep learning fundamentals, from neural network architectures to advanced optimization techniques, and a strong interest in deploying models at scale to help us solve impactful problems.

Robotics / Physical AI Internship

As a Robotics Solutions Architect intern, you’ll work with aspects such as robotics reinforcement learning, vision language action (VLA) models, motion planning, physics-based simulation, and software-in-the-loop testing. Projects might involve building customer-facing examples for synthetic data generation or robotics foundation model training, as well as performance analysis of AI robotics workloads. Familiarity with robotics tools like the Robotics Operating System (ROS) and simulation frameworks like Isaac Sim, along with vision language models, is a plus. In this internship, you will learn more about these frameworks and gain experience engaging with customers. You may also work on large-scale training and data pipelines (scaling and optimizing them), multi-sensor suites, and various industrial or consumer scenarios. Experience training or working with VLA models, robotics competitions or labs, and hands-on pipeline optimization stands out.

Sensor Processing Internship

Work on real hardware and software designs linking high-performance sensors to a digital twin in Omniverse. You will work with a skilled team developing and demonstrating new geospatial, signal, radar, and RF processing pipelines as proofs of concept (POC). You will participate in a team project that fuses multi-modal sensor inputs into one digital twin, creating a common operating picture. We will then use that digital twin to plan and predict, train robots, and more.

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 20 USD - 71 USD.

You will also be eligible for Intern benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until September 15, 2026.
