Software Test Scripter
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Software Test Scripter in support of the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our various mission and non-mission systems in support of the Satellite Control Network (SCN). In addition to test script tasking and as part of the DSLM Software Team, you will actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (daily Scrum, Backlogs, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives), create software work products and related artifacts to implement the Backlog, and engage in continuous software process improvements. This role requires strong technical skills in test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with tam members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story/release alignment
Test Automation Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools
- Create reusable test components and libraries to improve testing efficiency
- Implement automated regression, functional, integration, and API testing solutions
- Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks
Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
- Perform code reviews of test scripts developed by team members
- Collaborate with developers to understand application architecture and design testable solutions
Documentation & Reporting:
- Document test cases, test scripts, and testing procedures
- Generate detailed test reports and metrics for stakeholders
- Maintain test automation documentation and best practices
- Provide status updates on testing progress and quality metrics
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Master
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlogs, and retrospectives
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies
Qualifications:
Required:
- US Citizen with DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 + years’ experience or combination.
- Proficiency in at least one programming (C, C++, or Java)/scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript, tcl, etc.)
- Working in Linux/Unix development environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
Desired:
- Experience on DoD programs and interaction with government stakeholders - SCN experience is a plus
- RBC experience extremely desired
- Experience using the following COTS tools: VersionOne, GitHub, SharePoint, Fortify
- Agile Software Development experience
- Agile certifications (software development oriented)
