Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Software Engineer - Level 5, based remotely out of Colorado.

In this job, you will

Support the program team with occasional travel in other locations.
We are looking for a versatile software developer who can bridge the gap between high-performance python applications and low-level hardware interaction. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative, agile environments, enjoys diagnosing complex issues, and is eager to expand their skill set.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree + 12 years of relative experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of professional experience

  • Must have an active US Government Secret security clearance at time of application

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor software development teams

  • Professional programming language experience in C#, C++, Python, Java, Javascript, and C.

  • Experience working with Flight Dynamics software.

  • Thorough understanding of the FORGE messaging platform.

  • CI/CD implementation experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software architectural experience.

  • Experience with Linux.

  • Thorough understanding of Agile principles.

  • Demonstrated experience with roadmaps.

  • Ability to describe a technical solution to non-technical stakeholders.

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
