Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.About our local organization: You'll be joining our Aurora Software and Electronics/Payloads Department which has ~200 Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, and Engineering Leaders from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects to Product Owners and Scrum Masters. This engineering organization supports numerous programs across Divisions and Business Units of the Space Sector. Job duties will include but are not limited to: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 8+ years of relative experience; 6+ years with a Master's; An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Requires an active DoD Top-Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility at time of application.
Programming Languages/Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ including concepts of threading and use of shared memory, Shell scripting, and Python
DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira, confluence). Experience with Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
Testing and Debugging: Ability to troubleshoot, make bug fixes, and code improvements.
