Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Software Development Analyst – Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT.  

The qualified candidate will become an integral member of the PS Sector Business Management Technology organization. This team member will support the design, development, deployment, and sustainment of applications and utilities for our QMS (Quality Management System) and EMS (Environmental Management System) teams. Will also heavily work with PowerBI application and data analytics. The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following summary level job responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment:
 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.

  • Intermediate understanding and frequent use/application of software development concepts, principles, techniques, and theories (algorithm development, data structures, Object Oriented Programming)

  • Engage with internal customers to understand and define application/utility needs and requirements

  • Communicate complex software engineering and information system concepts clearly and effectively with customer stakeholders, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams

  • Participate constructively in a collaborative work environment with other geographically distributed team members

  • Support the design, development, test, deployment, sustainment, and documentation of new and existing enterprise-wide applications and utilities in both classified and unclassified network environments

  • Promote inclusion, innovation, respect, and continuous personal and professional development

  • Moderate experience with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL, T-SQL)

  • Moderate experience with developing, deploying, and debugging, three-tier web development stack

    • MS SQL Server (Data tier)

    • .NET, C# (Application / Services tier)

    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Presentation tier)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on project teams

  • Self-motivated, organized, with strong interpersonal, analytical, communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

  • Experience with data analytics

  • Experience with Visual Studio

  • Experience with Agile development cycle/concepts

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (Git repositories, CI/CD Pipelines)

  • Experience developing and sustaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

  • Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau

  • Experience with Python

  • Experience with MS Excel Power Query, Power Pivot

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $113,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
