The Opportunity:


CACI is seeking a Software Developer, Systems Software in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development. Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation.

By joining this team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the U.S. and our allies’ ability to develop and apply models and simulations throughout the lifecycle of military and commercial technologies and systems. Your work will help ensure Warfighter readiness and the realization of future capabilities.


Responsibilities:


Research and Analyze User Needs:
             Conduct research to understand user needs and requirements.
             Analyze user feedback and market trends to inform software development.
Design Software Solutions:
             Design computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
             Create detailed software design documents and specifications.
Develop and Implement Software:
             Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
             Implement software solutions using appropriate programming languages and tools.
             Test and debug software applications to ensure they meet requirements.
Update and Enhance Software:
             Update software to fix bugs, improve performance, or add new features.
             Enhance existing software capabilities to meet evolving user needs.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
             Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems.
             Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure software meets user experience standards.
             Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to align software development with project goals.
Maintain and Develop Databases:
             Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
             Ensure database integrity and performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
             Document software design, code, and other technical details.
             Prepare reports and presentations to communicate software development progress and outcomes.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
             Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in software development.
             Continuously improve skills and knowledge in software development practices.
Participate in Code Reviews and Peer Programming:
             Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
             Participate in peer programming sessions to collaborate on coding tasks.
Support and Maintenance:
             Provide support for software applications post-deployment.
             Address user issues and perform maintenance tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$72,500 - $148,500
