The Opportunity:

We're hiring a Software Developer to build and sustain the integrated software ecosystem behind our logistics, inventory, configuration management, and technical publications operations. You'll design interconnected databases, full-stack web applications, and automated workflows that give end users real-time visibility into inventory, equipment configuration, logistics, and technical documentation and that integrate cleanly with our operational systems, IETM platform, and Learning Management System. Success means a scalable, maintainable solution that improves operational readiness and replaces manual processes with reliable, real-time data.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications on Linux environments.
  • Architect scalable relational databases that synchronize data across systems to support inventory, equipment/configuration management, usage tracking, supply forecasting, and logistics planning.
  • Build real-time tracking for part ordering, equipment movement, configuration changes, and asset status, with intuitive interfaces for logistics personnel.
  • Develop and maintain the IETM database and web application, and integrate it with the system UI, LMS, and other enterprise applications.
  • Design and build REST APIs and middleware for secure communication between platforms.
  • Deploy and maintain applications using containerized technologies (Kubernetes, Docker and/or Podman) and maintain deployment pipelines.
  • Develop automation for deployment, configuration management, testing, and operational workflows.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience and a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience building enterprise full-stack web applications. (Core stack: Python/Django/React OR Node.js/HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.)
  • Strong relational database design: normalization, indexing, performance optimization, data integrity, and cross-system data synchronization.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
  • Linux development and system administration.
  • Container deployment with Kubernetes and Docker and/or Podman.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks, including Helm and Ansible.
  • Git-based source control and modern development practices.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) for code generation, refactoring, test automation, and CI/CD.
  • Must be a US Citizen with a minimum of an active Secret clearance.

Desired:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Modern, user-focused web/UI design.
  • Inventory, logistics, supply chain, or asset management systems.
  • Real-time operational dashboards.
  • CI/CD automation frameworks.
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) platforms.
  • Cloud-native development; experience in secure or regulated environments.
