Finning is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team in Fort McMurray or Edmonton. This is a highly administrative and coordination-focused role that serves as a key support function within our service operations. As a Service Coordinator, you'll work closely with Service Supervisors, Service Support Representatives, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure service jobs are accurately coordinated, documented, tracked, and completed. Job Description:
What You'll Do
As the administrative backbone of our service operations, you will:
Coordinate Service Requests & Job Setup
- Prepare and manage documentation required to initiate service work.
- Create and compile service information packages, including customer account verification, service history, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Review service requests for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer requirements.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, concerns, or gaps in information prior to job creation.
- Ensure documentation is properly filed and maintained according to established processes and standards.
Support Active Service Operations
- Maintain accurate and real-time updates across multiple systems and tracking tools.
- Support Service Supervisors and Service Support Representatives throughout the lifecycle of service jobs.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, action items, and follow-up activities.
- Assist with warranty and goodwill administration processes.
- Coordinate transportation requirements, contractor arrangements, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor job progress and communicate risks, delays, or impacts to timelines and customer commitments.
- Participate in planning and scheduling meetings while documenting action plans and key updates.
Drive Job Completion & Documentation Quality
- Review service jobs to ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Follow up with stakeholders to resolve outstanding items and support timely billing.
- Prepare documentation required for job closure, invoicing, and warranty claims.
- Ensure records meet quality, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Help drive efficient work order completion and overall service performance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in:
- Business Administration
- Office or Administrative Management
- Accounting or Finance
- Related business disciplines
- 2–4 years of experience in areas such as:
- Administration or office coordination
- Document control
- Service coordination
- Project coordination
- Dealership operations
- Construction, industrial, oilfield, forestry, or marine environments
