Medtronic's Jacksonville, Florida location is seeking a Service Center Repair Technician II to join our collaborative repair team supporting ENT surgical equipment used by healthcare providers around the world.  
 
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting skills who enjoys diagnosing problems, repairing equipment, and restoring critical devices to service. Working in a service center environment, you'll troubleshoot, repair, test, calibrate, and document repairs on a variety of medical devices while following established quality and safety procedures. You'll also help identify product failure trends, support continuous improvement efforts, and contribute to a team culture built on technical excellence and long-term career growth.  

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM  

 
Compensation:

  • Starting Pay: $25/hour  

  • 5% annual bonus target 

  • 4 weeks paid time off per year

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, testing, and calibration of medical devices and equipment. 

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical failures using established procedures. 

  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble products according to documented work instructions and quality standards. 

  • Complete service reports and repair documentation with clear, accurate written communication.  

  • Conduct operational and performance testing to verify products meet specifications prior to release. 

  • Prepare and document product failure findings to support trend analysis and continuous improvement efforts.  

  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and other functional teams to resolve technical issues.  

  • Maintain compliance with quality systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 

 
Minimum Requirements (Must Have!):

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in equipment repair, maintenance, electronics, electromechanical assembly, manufacturing, field service, military technical roles, biomedical equipment, or a related field. 

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field. 

  • Experience working in a medical device, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industry. 

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and controlled documentation. 

  • Experience conducting inspections, testing, calibration, or equipment verification activities. 

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Experience interpreting schematics, technical drawings, or repair procedures. 

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$51,200.00 - $76,800.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
