Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) team. This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.

What You Will Get To Do:
As an integral part of the Command Systems SEIT MS&A Operations team on the Sentinel program, you will focus on:
Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system such as networking, physical security, and cybersecurity
Perform end-to-end system latency analysis across hardware, software, and network components, recommending architecture or implementation changes to meet timing and responsiveness requirements
Develop and manage hardware/software computing resource budgets, including analyzing and optimizing CPU, RAM, storage, and related utilization to ensure system performance and scalability
Perform networking analysis, including characterizing link performance, latency, throughput, jitter, and packet loss between system nodes, and using these results to identify bottlenecks, validate design assumptions, and recommend network architecture or configuration improvements
Support database management and development activities
Support analysis for requirement decomposition and traceability
Support MBSE strategy and implementation
Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance
Contribute content for presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 2 years of related experience; 0 years with a Master’s
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Demonstrated experience with mathematical modeling and simulation
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or related scientific computer programming tools
Experience performing end-to-end system latency analysis across hardware, software, and network components
Experience developing and managing hardware/software computing resource budgets, including analyzing CPU, RAM, storage, and related utilization to meet system performance and scalability requirements
Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles
Preferred Qualifications
Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
Experience with network architecture and equipment configuration
Experience with database management and/or development (e.g., Front End/Back End development, SQL queries, etc.) in common database tools (e.g., Microsoft Access)
Experience with GitLab or related source control tool
Experience with model verification and validation planning and execution
Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite
Knowledge of DOORS or related requirements management tool
Knowledge of Cameo

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
