Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst level 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Roy, UT to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications below.
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position may be filled at a Level 2 or a Level 3 based on qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications Level 2
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Aerospace and Defense, or related professional experience; a Master's degree with 1 year; or 6 years with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) may be accepted in lieu of degree
Basic Qualifications Level 3
- Requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Aerospace and Defense, or related professional experience; a master's degree and 3 years; a PhD with 1 year; or 9 years of experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma in lieu of a degree
Both Levels
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, VBA, Macros
- Aerospace/Defense Industry Experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD secret clearance and Special Program Access as required by the business.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MS Project, P6 Primavera, Deltek Open Plan, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Deltek Acumen, OR other Schedule Risk Assessment Tools.
- Experience working in Microsoft Project Server Environment.
- 1+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Experience in Schedule Analytics
- Ability to effectively manage completing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
