In this role, you will be responsible for defining mechanical interface controls, releasing integration assembly drawings, and coordinating design solutions alongside other Flight Systems product teams. You will be expected to develop the mechanical interface baseline and present product designs to customers. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are critical to being successful in this position.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- The ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar
- Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Ability to understand and interpret requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts
- Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion
- Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX
- Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM
- Proficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009
