Northrop Grumman is seeking an enthusiastic and technically proficient Software Engineer to join our team as a SharePoint Developer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable background in developing and maintaining SharePoint solutions using React, along with familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks and methods. This role requires a combination of independent problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and the capacity to contribute effectively to project teams.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Develop custom web parts, extensions, and applications within the SharePoint environment, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

  • Independently determine and develop approaches to technical solutions under general direction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices in coding and deployment.

  • Gain experience with the Atlassian tool suite for project management and using GitHub/Jenkins for CI/CD processes.

  • Contribute to the successful completion of specific programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

This role can be filled at the Associate Engineer (T01) or Software Engineer (T02) level.

Associate Software Engineer: 1 year with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 0 Years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Demonstrable experience in developing applications using React.

  • Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Hands on experience using modern development tools and workflows.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs.

  • Awareness of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with inter-organizational and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues,

Software Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 1 year with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Demonstrable experience in developing applications using React.

  • Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Hands on experience using modern development tools and workflows.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs.

  • Awareness of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with inter-organizational and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with SAP access

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

  • Experience leveraging unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks and tools.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with inter-organizational and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience developing SharePoint solutions.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and PnP for SharePoint.

  • Hands-on experience with GitHub/Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
