What you'll be doing

The People, Culture & Talent team leads CIBC’s human capital strategy by creating experiences that help our team members thrive, connect, develop, and prosper. Within that group, the Talent Acquisition team delivers innovative talent solutions and best-in-class experiences that help us attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent while building an inclusive culture that reflects the clients and communities we serve.

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Operations Analyst, you’ll play a unique and high-impact role that blends two areas of expertise: talent acquisition operations excellence and data-driven analytics. You’ll lead process improvements, strengthen operational consistency, and turn recruitment data into insights that help shape better decisions and better experiences. You’ll also serve as a key partner in training, system support, and procedure design, helping the team work more effectively across tools, workflows, and stakeholder interactions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining operational problem-solving with analytical thinking to improve how talent acquisition delivers value across the bank.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Analytics and insights - Develop, maintain, and analyze talent acquisition metrics, reports, and dashboards to support strategic decision-making. Identify trends, surface actionable insights, and present findings clearly to Talent Acquisition leadership and business partners.

  • Process improvement and automation - Review recruitment operations to identify opportunities for standardization, efficiency, and automation. Lead or support the design and implementation of improved workflows, tools, and solutions that enhance service delivery and user experience.

  • Training and enablement - Design and facilitate training for recruiters, Talent Acquisition Coordinators, and hiring managers on processes, systems, and best practices. Create clear guidance and support adoption of new ways of working across the Talent Acquisition function.

  • Workday support and issue resolution - Serve as a subject matter expert for Talent Acquisition systems and processes, acting as a first point of contact for Workday-related questions, issues, and escalations. Partner with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and technology teams to troubleshoot issues, support testing, and contribute to system enhancements.

  • Procedure documentation and governance - Create, refine, and maintain standard operating procedures and operational documentation that strengthen consistency, compliance, and quality across recruitment activities. Support audits, remediation efforts, and alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Project leadership and team support - Participate in or lead initiatives focused on innovation, efficiency, training, and operational excellence within Talent Acquisition. Provide guidance, workload direction, and feedback to Talent Acquisition Coordinators, and support cyclical activities such as immigration recruitment processes when required.
