We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to support one of our premier programs. In this role, you will work in a collaborative, Agile development environment to deliver advanced satellite ground system solutions that support critical national security missions. You will partner with cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, integrate, and sustain mission-critical capabilities while contributing to innovative cyber and ground system technologies.
This position is contingent upon contract award, and the work will be on-site in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to analyze customer needs, decompose requirements, and develop system designs.
Collaborate within an Agile product team to deliver high-quality systems engineering solutions that support program objectives.
Define, analyze, and manage system interfaces to ensure successful integration and alignment with the overall system architecture.
Maintain a systems-level perspective throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring mission objectives remain aligned with technical solutions.
Participate in technical working groups and collaborate with customers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to develop and refine system solutions.
Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including requirements, architecture products, models, and technical documentation.
Support systems engineering activities within a secure laboratory environment.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience supporting satellite ground system development or operations.
Experience with ground station and satellite systems, including one or more of the following: terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, or on-orbit operations.
Experience working in Agile development environments as part of a cross-functional product team.
Ability to maintain a systems-level perspective while supporting detailed system design and implementation activities.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD TS/SCI is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience collaborating with customers and external partners to build strong working relationships and achieve program objectives.
Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support systems engineering activities.
Experience using industry-standard MBSE tools, such as Cameo Systems Modeler or similar platforms.
Experience using Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
