A Day in the Life
Are you ready to play a critical role in driving operational continuity for life-saving medical technology? We are looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead key supplier partnerships, drive cost negotiations, and safeguard our production pipelines. In this dynamic role, you will be the bridge between internal engineering, Quality and planning teams and global contract manufacturers (CMs) or component suppliers. If you thrive on rapid problem-solving, strategic sourcing, and navigating complex supply chain challenges to ensure uninterrupted healthcare delivery, this opportunity is for you.This role is based out of our Jerusalem, Israel facility in a hybrid working arrangement. Operating as an individual contributor with broad cross-functional impact, you will closely collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners across global supply networks. This operational and vendor-facing position requires expertise in proactive component sourcing, purchase price variance (PPV) management, and sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) alignment.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through production and inventory process.
- Ensure contract manufacturer production continuity by resolving line shortages, material escalations, and production stoppages.
- Allocate missing electronic components and identify alternative electronic components for end-of-life (EOL) or missing parts to safeguard manufacturing workflows.
- Lead PPV approvals, supplier negotiations and monitor performance of suppliers and collaborate on demand analysis planning.
- Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies that optimize cost of ownership, risk mitigation, and cycle times.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, Quality Planning and CM’s teams to align schedules and procurement needs.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant sourcing/supply chain experience.
- Proven sourcing expertise in managing CM networks and electronic component supply chains.
- Demonstrated ability in cost negotiation, PPV management, and driving cost-reduction initiatives.
- Experience locating alternative components for missing or EOL parts under rapid problem-solving conditions.
- Strong background in cross-functional collaboration and managing external suppliers.
Practical knowledge of project management frameworks and experience with SIOP alignment tools are highly desirable. Knowledge of medical device quality standards and advanced supplier performance coaching is a plus.
