**This is a hybrid position based in either Marlborough, MA or Fullerton, CA.**

What YOU will do:

  • Work with a cross‑functional and cross‑enterprise team of business development, marketing, program management, and engineering professionals to identify, influence, pursue, and capture new business opportunities.

  • Lead day‑to‑day business development activities, including identifying, developing, forecasting, and securing new opportunities and customers.

  • Continuously scan the environment for business and strategic growth opportunities.

  • Serve as a trusted source of information for emerging aviation and weapons development activities relevant to precision landing products.

  • Develop and present compelling strategic and business growth opportunities—including market and competitive analysis—to senior internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain customer insight for early identification and shaping of customer requirements, internal investments, and strategic direction.

  • Engage with senior internal and external stakeholders on high‑visibility matters requiring coordination across multiple organizations.

  • Work with minimal supervision on day‑to‑day tasks and receive general guidance on new assignments.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Direct experience working with or within the U.S. Department of Defense.

  • Demonstrated understanding of combat airspace management, air traffic control operations, and precision navigation/landing requirements for U.S. or foreign military customers.

  • Proven experience identifying and capturing new business for precision landing, airspace management, or aviation electronics systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate military tactics, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and policy into clear, actionable requirements and guidance for program management and engineering teams.

  • Experience applying these skills through advanced DoD operational training or equivalent instruction.

  • Working knowledge of air traffic control system maintenance, including system support and sustainment considerations.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and brief compelling strategic growth opportunities to senior internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, evolving environments where requirements may be loosely defined.

  • Position may be based in Marlborough, MA, or Fullerton, CA on a hybrid basis.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active and transferable U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

  • Direct experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or supervising maintenance activities for ATC or precision landing systems.

  • Experience with air traffic control policy and CONOPS development within the USAF, USN, USMC, and/or U.S. Army.

  • Experience generating Air Traffic Control requirements for the USAF, USN, USMC, and U.S. Army.

  • Experience managing, operating, training, or maintaining ATC equipment for U.S. and foreign military personnel.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
