Raytheon - Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to manage a production program reporting through the Electro-Optic Infrared (EOIR) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). This is an EMD program transitioning to production. This position will report to the lead Program Manager.  

This role is onsite located in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do

  • Define program tasking/milestones and monitor adherence to program budgets, plans, cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Manage profit and loss, AOP development and execution, and program Estimate at Completions (EACs)
  • Lead by example and champion program management best practices for production
  • Coordinate and align interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers and other performing parties
  • Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, implement gates and major reviews with the customer
  • Support proposal activities in support of on-contract growth and adjacent opportunities supporting the portfolio
  • Change management, proposing and executing constructive changes resulting from ECPs
  • Interface with stakeholders and government customers
  • Travel up to 20%, to participate in domestic business engagements with customers, partners, and teammates

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Program management or capture management experience
  • Experience in capturing new business/program(s) or preparing proposals
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, and/or administrative functions
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Program Management Level 4 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
  • STEM degree
  • Demonstrated experience working with program management best practices; to include early capture milestones (strategy, bid approval, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership competencies, especially influential communications, strategic thinking, cultivating innovation, collaboration, developing talent, customer focus, and driving results
  • Effective interpersonal skills especially in team building and customer relationships
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve problems, quickly and efficiently

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
