The Opportunity
The Senior Marketing Project Specialist, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) & Marketing Communications (MarCom) position works out of our Austin, TX location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.
This is a fully onsite role.

This role is responsible for leading the organization in leveraging passion about healthcare and technology to impact patients’ lives.
The Senior Marketing Project Specialist, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) & Marketing Communications (MarCom) is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated omnichannel marketing initiatives that support disease awareness, patient engagement, and referring physician education for Abbott's Cardiac Rhythm Management portfolio, including the AVEIR™ Leadless Pacemaker.
This role serves as a key project management and execution leader for high-visibility marketing programs, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal stakeholders, external agencies, and regulatory partners to deliver compliant, customer-centered campaigns. The position plays a critical role in supporting market development efforts, accelerating patient acquisition, and driving business growth through effective execution of DTC and healthcare professional-focused marketing initiatives.
What You'll Work On
Omnichannel Campaign Execution
- Lead execution of integrated DTC and marketing communications campaigns across digital and traditional channels, including websites, social media, CRM/email, point-of-care materials, print collateral, and patient engagement platforms.
- Support initiatives designed to increase disease awareness, patient engagement, and referring physician activation.
- Ensure campaigns align with brand strategy, business objectives, and customer needs.
Marketing Project Management
- Manage multiple concurrent marketing projects from initiation through launch using project management platforms such as Monday.com.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, milestones, and stakeholder communications.
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement solutions to ensure successful project execution.
Agency and Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external agencies, consultants, and vendors to develop creative assets and campaign materials.
- Facilitate feedback cycles, manage deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Track project progress and maintain alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Compliance
- Partner closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Analytics, and Commercial teams to support successful campaign execution.
- Ensure all materials and communications adhere to Abbott brand standards and applicable healthcare industry regulations.
- Coordinate review and approval processes through established compliance systems and workflows.
Content Development and Brand Stewardship
- Support development, review, and refinement of promotional and educational content for patients and referring physicians.
- Ensure message consistency and brand alignment across all communication channels.
- Contribute to content optimization based on audience needs and business priorities.
Performance Tracking and Optimization
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and project outcomes.
- Support reporting efforts by gathering insights and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Digital Channel Management
- Maintain and support content updates across patient-facing and referring physician digital channels, including social platforms and web properties.
- Assist with audience engagement initiatives and demand generation activities.
- Monitor content accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
Campaign Planning and Creative Development
- Assist in development of creative briefs, campaign concepts, and marketing plans.
- Support strategic planning and tactical execution activities associated with product, therapy awareness, and market development initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication and Coordination
- Serve as a central point of coordination among internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and cross-functional alignment.
- Ensure effective communication and transparency throughout the campaign lifecycle.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
4–7 years of overall marketing experience
Experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC), digital, or marketing communications (MarCom) and familiarity with omnichannel marketing is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns and cross-functional business initiatives.
Experience working within highly regulated industries preferred, including medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
Demonstrates experience in project management and agency coordination.
Understanding of brand standards and marketing analytics.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; no specific certifications required but relevant marketing or project management certifications are advantageous

The base pay for this position is
$78,000.00 – $156,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
