Our mission is to create one of the nation’s great banks, and we have the necessary ingredients: a strong balance sheet, resilient businesses, a massive customer franchise, strong analytical capabilities, and great people. We nurture a work environment where people with a variety of thoughts, ideas, and backgrounds, guided by our shared Values, come together to make Capital One a great company – and a great place to work.

The Role:

As the National Market Engagement Leader for the Capital One Café Signature Experiences team, you will define both the national and local community engagement strategy and lead a team to deliver mission-driven community initiatives across our network. In this role, you will be accountable for the development of trust-based relationships with local civic, business, and government organizations, serving as the face of our brand within the community. You will partner closely with Café Market Executives (Regional Managers) and local Market Engagement Leads to cultivate deep market expertise, and build localized strategies that drive community engagement and brand credibility. Combining rigorous project management with dynamic people leadership, you will lead the Market Engagement Team to execute in-Café programming and elevate our brand via high-impact community experiences.

  • Own the Market Engagement budget, managing 3rd party vendor partnerships while ensuring purchase orders (POs), invoices, and contracts are accurately processed and paid.

  • Bring a proven track record of quickly establishing order, structure, and clarity within highly dynamic and ambiguous environments.

Risk, Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure all projects are documented to mitigate risk, maintain compliance, and meet deliverables.

  • Act as the primary accountable well-managed partner throughout the event proposal process—consulting, reviewing, approving proposals, and guiding Market Engagement through the Well Managed Risk Review process.

Relationship Management & Communication:

  • Leverage sharp problem-solving abilities and exceptional influencing skills to drive results through the team and deliver on strategic intent.

  • Partner deeply with internal partners and stakeholders at all levels to provide tactical and strategic thought leadership that drives alignment.

  • Actively collaborate with Global Enterprise Affairs to bring new business and organizational relationships into the aligned markets.

  • Deliver a cohesive, mission-driven output of National community engagement in partnership with key stakeholders and partners leveraging compelling brand storytelling and communication.

  • Collaborate and share best practices with Customer Engagement & Community Leads in markets nationwide to maintain strategic consistency.

People Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a moderate-sized team responsible for managing high-impact, mission-driven programs in our Cafes, providing strategic direction and fostering an inclusive, empowering, and inspiring environment.
