The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit Procurement Team has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Manager, Procurement to lead a team of Acquisition Professionals in the procurement activities associated with the sourcing and acquisition of Engineered Items requirements for the fast-paced LADS portfolio of programs. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs across multiple Mission Areas.
What you Will Do:
Lead and manage a team of acquisition professionals.
Partner with our suppliers to drive effective performance, strong relationships, and reliable health within the supply chain.
Manages internal customer and/or supplier issues
Manage financial goals in relation to subcontract deliveries
Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP requirements.
Provide guidance regarding compliance to procurement policies and procedures:
Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI
Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques
Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)
Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity
Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems
Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be monthly or more
Qualifications you Must Have:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive

Qualifications We Prefer:
Supervisory/leadership experience leading a team
Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.)
Experience in Defense industry
Proven Ability to create and lead a high performing team
Ability to process information and manage multiple conflicting priorities to drive to successful outcome

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
