Position: Senior Manager Cost Excellence-P5
What You Will Do *
- Lead Cost savings initiatives of business and co ordinate with GSS/ GSD and business to achieve this
- Support head wind mitigation with clear annual AOP strategy
- Improve contract coverage. Working knowledge of Contract Work Book and negotiations
- Prepare, execute and maintain global Commodity Strategy, process, standards, contracts, working capitals and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution and expedite activity.
- Support Work transfer (G0 to G2) for all commodities with strong working knowledge to drive work transfer.
- Drive Component Engineering /Value Engineering for driving dual source on Existing portfolio of the parts.
- Lead Teams Proven team building, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Established success in developing project plans and managing these projects through to successful execution, including overcoming obstacles.
- Experience with global activities, including sourcing and/or operations within different cultures and styles.
- Successfully negotiated Long Term Agreements (LTA) amendments within approved negotiation sandboxes and ensure continued contractual coverage with suppliers.
- Drive cost savings through strategic contract negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Program Management to support new product introductions and successful supplier transitions.
Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with business units and corporate commodity organizations to develop and execute commodity strategies, leveraging strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Long Term Agreement coverage, supplier performance, product cost reduction, management and execution of supplier agreements and monitor the compliance to those agreements across the business unit and sites
- Drive standardization and strategy with a deep level of understanding around complex part groups.
Qualifications / Experience You Must Have *
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14+ years prior relevant experience
- Willingness to travel (25%) locally and international
Qualifications We Prefer
- 10+ years in global procurement, commodity strategy, and contract negotiations.
- Experience in cost optimization, supplier management, RFQs, and SAP.
- Knowledge of NPI, work transfers, TCO, cost benchmarking, and spend analysis.
- Aerospace or automotive industry experience preferred
