The Opportunity:

CACI’s EITaaS Program is a Department of the Air Force initiative, which includes the Air Force and Space Force. EITaaS will transform the Dept. of the Air Force IT services from an in-house, base-centric delivery model to an advanced enterprise service delivery model. CACI will provide an enhanced IT management system, IT storefront, enterprise help desk, local field services, and life cycle support for end-user devices.

CACI’s innovative approach to enterprise technology infuses contemporary technologies with industry best practices to deliver commercial-style services that will improve customer experience and productivity for the Dept. of the Air Force’s global workforce. CACI and its partners will equip Airmen and Guardians with state-of-the-art services and automated capabilities that enable access to the tools they need to perform their mission efficiently and effectively when they need it, where they need it.

This position is hybrid, with onsite work expected in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis, design, development, and integration of hardware, software, and all system level requirements and functional objectives to provide an integrated EIT solution.
  • Develops integrated system test requirements, strategies, devices, and systems. Ensures highest level of Cyber Security while balancing user needs. Initiates (does not wait for others) and identifies key areas of improvement relating to anything Systems related.
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches and resolve software related problems.
  • Perform system backups and recovery.
  • Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Possesses and applies expertise across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Plans and leads major assignments.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
  • May mentor or task lead others.
  • Design and implement large-scale Linux infrastructure solutions
  • Manage and optimize existing Linux environments
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools
  • Troubleshoot complex system and network issues
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership
  • Collaborate with other IT teams on cross-functional projects
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning
  • Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • 12+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
  • Security+ CE Certification (or other IAT Level II or III Certification) at a minimum; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-3) 
  • Demonstrated experience with systems administration in Linux environments (RHCE equivalence) or Windows Server environments (MS Security Engineer/Solution Architect equivalence).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience installing, configuring, securing, integrating, upgrading and troubleshooting SE Linux/CentOS (prefer some hands-on experience with AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux too) – preferably in VM environments.

Desired: 

  • Experience with installing/configuring/troubleshooting Security tools (i.e., Windows, Azure, Linux) beyond default settings meeting highest level government standards relating to data, applications, OS, networking, infrastructure, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Perl)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, KVM, AWS, Azure)
  • Understanding of networking protocols and services
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
