As a Security Coordinator – Level 3 or Level 4 located in Chantilly, VA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

   

In this position you will work closely with senior executives, customers, and government representatives, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations/customers; the ability to protect and maintain confidentiality; and the ability to execute tasks and projects independently.

To be successful you must be an exceptional team player, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized and detail oriented. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must provide excellent follow-through, exercise good judgment, demonstrate flexibility and agility, manage schedule conflicts and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

In this job, you will:

  • Coordinate daily security activities supporting classified programs
  • Process personnel security actions including indoctrinations, debriefings, visit requests, and access requests
  • Maintain security records and databases (e.g., SIMS, DISS, or other government/company systems)
  • Coordinate with CSSOs, Program Managers, Security Managers, and government customers to resolve discrepancies
  • Support government inspections, internal audits, and compliance reviews
  • Maintain security metrics and develop reports for leadership
  • Assist with security education and awareness initiatives
  • Prepare correspondence, briefing materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and process documentation
  • Support classified meetings, visitor control, and security logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DoD SAP guidance, Intelligence Community directives, and company policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve security processes and customer experience
  • Other duties as assigned

  

This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.  
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and Program approval/access
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated, relevant security experience with industrial security programs within the Intelligence Community

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.  
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and Program approval/access
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated, relevant security experience with industrial security programs within the Intelligence Community

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • SharePoint experience
  • Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills, and organizational skills enabling effective communications
  • Strong working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $61,100.00 - $101,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
