Scrum Master SAFe Team Facilitator
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery within a fast-paced system modernization program. This role is responsible for guiding Agile teams in the adoption and execution of Scrum and SAFe practices, ensuring consistent delivery, monitoring performance metrics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineering teams, and Technical Leads to remove impediments, optimize flow, and support high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Support backlog refinement and work prioritization.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to understand priorities, dependencies and sequencing requirements.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) for multiple Agile teams.
Guide teams in the adoption of SAFe and Scrum delivery standards, ensuring alignment with enterprise Agile maturity models.
Support PI Planning preparation, facilitation, and follow-up for Agile teams.
Foster cross-team collaboration through Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, and solution-level retrospectives.
Mentor teams on flow optimization, cycle-time reduction, WIP limits, and continuous improvement techniques.
Assess current Agile practices, identify maturity gaps, and drive adoption of best practices, KPIs, and consistent delivery patterns.
Build and maintain performance dashboards, flow metrics, and quality KPIs across product teams.
Monitor and communicate velocity, predictability, burnup/burndown trends, defect rates, and levels of unplanned work.
Identify and track risks, particularly those tied to data migration, integration points, and infrastructure dependencies.
Present Agile performance insights, risks, and improvement recommendations to customers and during program reviews.
Enforce consistent working agreements, Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), and acceptance criteria across teams.
Support program-level risk identification, mitigation planning, and dependency management across the ART.
Qualifications:
Required:
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams in iterative delivery environments.
2+ years facilitating multiple Agile teams operating in parallel within SAFe or similar scaled-Agile frameworks.
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Strong command of Scrum and Agile metrics, Lean flow principles, backlog refinement practices, and release management processes.
Ability to translate technical dependencies into actionable Agile planning constructs (stories, features, enablers, and spikes).
Hands-on experience in large-scale modernization, cloud migration, or data-engineering-driven delivery environments.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and coaching skills.
Desired:
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I or II), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), PMI-ACP, or similar advanced Agile certification.
Experience supporting government or DoW modernization initiatives, particularly in mission-critical / high-use systems.
Working Conditions
Hybrid or remote with occasional travel for PI Planning, customer meetings, and team events.
Must be capable of guiding distributed teams and coaching in both virtual and in‑person formats.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
