Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician

The C2BMC Next Program, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a SATCOM Technician. The candidate will be a primary SATCOM Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Your primary responsibilities will be to provide technical services support in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; responsible for operating, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of Satellite Terminal systems, including connectivity to local and wide area networks, end-to end telecommunications, circuit switching systems.
What You Will Do
Takes corrective actions to ensure the most efficient operations of the SATCOM equipment and monitor status and performance of Transmission/Receive systems.
Quickly respond to circuit outages and coordinates with distant end facilities and local Systems/Users, when necessary in order to restore communications services.
Analyze capabilities and performance.
Identifies problems.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Position may require 24x7 shift work. Candidate will be assigned to a shift, to be determined by mission requirements.
What You Will Learn
- Knowledge of Network System Administration.
- Experience working with Microsoft operating system environments/platforms.
- Familiarity with CISCO routers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Excellent skills and background in SATCOM principles, operations, maintenance, and repair.
Skilled in utilizing common SATCOM test equipment.
Familiarity with TACLANE encryption devices and Crypto Device Loaders such as SKLs.
Experience in signal flow and end-to-end configuration diagrams for circuits.
Knowledge of Network System Administration.
Experience working with Microsoft operating system environments/platforms.
Familiarity with CISCO routers.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IA Level II or higher (Security+ CE, Security. CCNA Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISSP). Candidate will be responsible for maintaining DoD 8140 certification for the full contract period.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date

Qualifications We Prefer:
Command and control system application development - Previous experience with message translation software Automated test and pipeline development experience
Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms for scheduling, task management, and tracking project progress.
Agile Methodology Expertise: Strong understanding and application of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM, for iterative development and team collaboration.
Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing proactive solutions to ensure project success.
Requirements Management: Experience in decomposing, prioritizing, and managing technical and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and program leadership to achieve objectives.
Prior military satellite communications technician US Navy ET NEC 1465, US Air Force AFSC 2E1X1, US Army MOS 315/255, or US Marine Corps MOS 2827.
MET experience
HEMP hardening maintenance and HEMP hardening testing experience.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
