Key Responsibilities
Reliability Planning & Product Development
Own reliability performance of pens, printheads, materials, and related subsystem technologies throughout product development and lifecycle support.
Develop Reliability Integration Plans (RIPs), qualification strategies, validation plans, sample allocation plans, and success criteria.
Support design reviews, risk assessments, FMEA activities, qualification planning, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp.
Identify reliability risks early and develop mitigation plans that support product readiness and lifecycle performance.
Drive qualification and characterization activities for new products, materials, suppliers, engineering changes, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Reliability Testing, Characterization & Analysis
Develop and execute reliability test plans covering environmental robustness, storage, shipping and handling, material compatibility, durability, and long-term product performance.
Design and execute experiments to evaluate design sensitivity, material interactions, environmental effects, and product performance drivers.
Analyze reliability data, test results, trends, and failure modes using appropriate statistical and engineering methods.
Investigate interactions among product designs, materials, inks, manufacturing processes, and environmental conditions.
Communicate technical conclusions, reliability risks, recommendations, and mitigation plans to project teams and stakeholders.
Failure Analysis, Manufacturing & Product Support
Lead root cause investigations for reliability failures, qualification issues, supplier concerns, manufacturing excursions, engineering changes, and field-related issues.
Identify failure mechanisms and drive corrective actions that improve product robustness and prevent recurrence.
Support supplier qualification, alternate material authorization, manufacturing process changes, and engineering change management.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, suppliers, and external partners to resolve technical challenges and support product readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
