Recruiting Coordinator - Contract
About the Role
We’re seeking a Contract Recruiting Coordinator to join our team, focusing on supporting the logistics and coordination of the recruiting efforts for OpenAI.
In this role, you will:
Act as point of contact for candidates; coordinating, scheduling, and managing interviews as well as travel and accommodation arrangements when needed. Making sure everyone is in the right place at the right time.
Use Ashby (our ATS) and relevant recruiting tools to stay organized and help keep our busy team on track.
Work with our team to support OpenAI’s recruiting team. This will include supporting multiple functions, cross-training, hosting and scheduling support and completing assigned tasks.
Handle high-volume global scheduling of interviews: phone screens, video conferencing, presentations and onsite interviews.
Communicate updates to candidates regarding their applicant/interview status as needed.
Develop strong candidate and stakeholder relationships (Hiring Managers, Recruiting, etc.) and maintaining effective communication channels.
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have 2+ years of experience in a fast paced recruiting coordinator position.
Are passionate about candidate experience: we see our candidates as our guests, and we are their hosts. It is the coordinator's job to ensure a smooth experience.
Are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask.
An excellent communicator, both written and verbal. With an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness.
Are self-directed with a high sense of urgency while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.
Anticipate possible issues before they arise and effectively problem-solves in advance. This includes independently making quick, educated decisions.
Have ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and a calm demeanor.
Are willing to take initiative and have the confidence to keep interviews running on time and hold stakeholders accountable in order to maintain a positive candidate experience.

This is a temporary contract assignment supporting OpenAI.
The role will be employed and paid through our third-party staffing agency.
This role can be based in one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA.
Our offices follow a hybrid work model: three days in the office each week, with the option to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. Our open-plan spaces feature height-adjustable desks, conference rooms, phone booths, well-stocked kitchens with snacks and drinks, and more.
