- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field:
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Semiconductor Engineering
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Physics
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Or a related engineering or scientific subject area
- Graduation within the past 12 months or expected completion prior to start date.
- Demonstrated interest in semiconductor technology through coursework, laboratory research, internships, co-ops, or technical projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic programming or scripting experience in languages such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB, SQL, or similar.
- Experience analyzing technical data and drawing conclusions from experimental results.
- Communicate technical information effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Learn and develop inspection recipes and applications used to characterize semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Support experiments, technology development activities, and manufacturing process monitoring.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize manufacturing data to identify trends, process excursions, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in developing statistical process control (SPC) methodologies and monitoring strategies.
- Use software, scripting, and data analysis tools to process and interpret inspection data.
- Collaborate with engineers across process integration, yield, manufacturing, equipment, and technology development organizations.
- Identify and communicate process anomalies and support root cause investigations.
- Participate in technical reviews and generate innovative ideas to improve process monitoring and defect detection capabilities.
- Develop knowledge of advanced inspection and metrology systems, including optical, electron beam, imaging, and characterization technologies.
- Support global alignment efforts and implementation of best-known methods across manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrate AI proficiency by effectively using Micron-approved AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, accelerate learning, assist with technical problem solving, and support data-driven decision making while adhering to Micron AI governance policies.
- Continuously develop AI skills and apply AI-enabled ways of working to improve operational efficiency, knowledge discovery, documentation, workflow execution, and collaboration across teams.
