The Opportunity:
CACI/Space’s Radar & Sensor Technologies (RST) group is seeking a Quality Specialist to assist in the maintenance of RST’s Quality Management System along with overseeing RST’s customer/government owned property system. This position will be responsible for identifying, establishing, managing, and monitoring all Quality related responsibilities within the QMS, and requirements respective to government contracts/programs. The Quality Specialist will be the point of contact for all Quality related matters pertaining to contracts/programs.
This position is based in Ypsilanti, MI and is 100% on-site within a corporate office environment. This work requires candidates to be US citizens able to obtain a Top-Secret government clearance.


Responsibilities:

  • Provides support, guidance, and assistance during all external AS/ISO-based audits performed by customers, corporate Quality Management representatives, or AS/ISO certifying bodies

  • Performs internal audit functions to manage, maintain, and monitor the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that all standards are met

  • Present quality audit reports for internal management review

  • Provide training and support to RST team members, focusing on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes

  • Assist in maintaining document control system for the division to ensure that all documents are current, correct, relevant, and comply with AS & ISO standards.

  • Point of contact for RST’s Customer/Government Owned Property system and will oversee the lifecycle management of customer/government owned property to ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

  • Support Software Development teams throughout Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment

  • Lead corrective action teams to determine root cause, implement countermeasures, and verify the effectiveness of countermeasures.

  • Successfully work and interact within cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

  • Work self-dependently on department projects to improve the effectiveness and quality of processes

  • Self-dependent working capabilities: goal and result-oriented; follow and develop structured approaches for more complex tasks; coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously



Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or other technical field with at least 3 – 5 years of Aerospace Quality experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a similar role (Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered)

  • Experience with Quality and Aerospace industry standards (ISO9001:2015, AS:9100D, AS:9115A)

  • Experience conducting internal QMS process audits

  • Experience with investigating quality issues in a methodical manner ultimately resulting in a report that identifies containment, root cause, and corrective and preventative actions

  • Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills for reporting and briefing Customers, Auditors and Senior Leadership

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer representatives

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret//SCI Security Clearance from the U.S. Government which requires U.S. Citizenship

  • 100% on-site in Ypsilanti, MI


Desired:

  • Active TS//SCI Government Clearance

  • AS9100D Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail

  • An understanding of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) 8D Methodology

  • Experience in preparation and review of program planning and processes

  • Understanding of software development in an Agile environment

  • Knowledge of software development Configuration and Data Management processes

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,400 - $123,900
