Department Overview
Quality/Process Engineering is a group within the manufacturing engineering and quality team supporting the entire manufacturing operation.
Job Description
The individual will actively interface with all facets of production including cost, quality, throughout, introduction of new products, and support organizations.
Responsibilities include:
Resolve daily production related quality issues .
Interface with teams that address quality, new product introduction, capacity issues, purchasing, and planning.
Provide input to the various factory sponsored cycle time and quality improvement teams. Identify corrective actions for factory related quality issues. Implement temporary and permanent changes to build procedures through documentation management.
Support product "stop ship" meetings and work with a cross-functional team to resolve and implement corrective actions.
Product ownership from a quality standpoint with a goal to drive efficiency gains through quality improvements.
Lead quality and process improvement across all facets of the operations.
Lead resolution and reduction of all escaping customer quality issues.
Lead cost and scrap reduction initiatives.
Lead site related quality improvement initiatives.
Must be able to read and interpret product specs and design documents.
Ability to present project and issue status to senior management.
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary problem solving teams from start to finish is required
Candidates should have solid understanding of advanced problem solving skills and experience implementing the same (DOE, statistical methods, etc).
Basic Requirements
Currently pursuing a B.S. in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing) with a graduation date no later than Dec. 2029
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
