Quality Control Inspector
The Opportunity:
Join CACI as a Quality Control Inspector where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of cutting-edge systems. This position offers the chance to work with complex electronic and mechanical systems in a dynamic aerospace and defense environment.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect and determine acceptability of custom fabricated mechanical parts and electrical assemblies (PCBAs and cables) using industry-appropriate methods and standards (e.g. IPC-A-610, JSTD-001, MIL-STD, etc.), measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
• Able to use engineering drawings or process documentation to perform inspections. Execute first article inspections of newly released designs.
• Utilize standard inspection tools and measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and other dimensional inspection equipment
• Perform incoming, in-process, final and pre-ship inspections in manufacturing and/or shipping ensuring product conformance to internal and external standards. Ensure the integrity of the end-item-data-package (EIDP) for delivered hardware.
• Verify part identification, revision levels, certifications, and traceability documentation in accordance with configuration control and quality system requirements
• Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing results, and adding data into the quality management system database; Communicate inspection results and offer continual improvement suggestions
• Identify, document, and process nonconforming material in accordance with the nonconforming material control process
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring defects or supplier quality issues and escalating through appropriate channel
• Execute process audits in the production or inspection areas.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to improve overall quality
• Other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mech inspection for an electronics manufacturer; working in the aerospace & defense industry
• Previous experience with EO/IR Electro-Mechanical hardware a plus
• Experience inspecting mechanical and electrical (PCBAs, cables, etc..) items
• Experience inspecting optical parts (lenses, mirrors, prisms) a plus
• Able to use standard measurement and inspection tools including pin gauges, calipers, visual inspection system, microscope, etc.
• Ability to obtain certifications to J-STD 001, IPC-610, and IPC-620
• Knowledge of ESD S20.20 and generally accepted good practice for ESD control

Pay Range:
