Project Operations Coordinator (J5)

Amentum is working with the Department of War (DoW) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to design and develop a formal certification program for Counter Threat Finance (CTF) professionals. The intended audience for the certification program are analysts from the DoW, Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE), and Intelligence Community (IC) who qualify for the Threat Finance Certification Program (TFCP).
We are seeking a highly experienced project management professional to serve as the team’s Project Operations Coordinator for the Threat Finance Certification Program (TFCP).
Position Summary:
The Project Operations Coordinator will leverage their deep expertise in project scheduling and critical path methodology to guide the strategic synchronization and execution of the DoW CTF certification program across multiple development swim lanes. Concurrently, they will be responsible for building and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), mapping task interdependencies, and serving as the authoritative gatekeeper for schedule modifications to ensure the program meets its execution milestones. This is a strategic planning and integration role focused on ensuring realistic, scalable execution and the on-time delivery of the certification program.
Key Responsibilities
- Synchronize Strategic Execution: Guide and align the DoW CTF certification program across multiple development swim lanes.
- Manage the Master Schedule: Build, update, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure realistic, scalable execution.
- Apply Scheduling Methodology: Leverage deep expertise in project scheduling and critical path methodology to meet execution milestones.
- Map Task Interdependencies: Identify, track, and map critical task dependencies across the program.
- Control Schedule Modifications: Serve as the authoritative gatekeeper for all changes and modifications made to the project schedule.
- Ensure On-Time Delivery: Focus on strategic planning and integration to guarantee the certification program is delivered on schedule.
Applicants must meet conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to:
- Must be a U.S. citizen at the time of application
- Must have a valid/ active Top Secret/ SCI Government Security Clearance
- Are subject to an initial background investigation and periodic re-investigation
- Are subject to an initial and periodic counterintelligence-scope polygraph tests
- Are subject to initial and random drug testing; (Important Note: Drug testing cannot be conducted outside the continental U.S.)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant experience).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project coordination, master scheduling, or operations management within a Department of War (DoW) or Department of Defense (DoD) program environment.
- Advanced, demonstrated proficiency in utilizing enterprise project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Primavera) to build dynamic schedules with complex logic networks.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including critical path methodology (CPM), phased development planning, schedule risk analysis, and dependency mapping.
- Proven ability to synthesize unstructured, high-tempo team inputs into structured, logical, and trackable milestones.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to brief complex schedule data and execution strategies to government and corporate leadership.
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance)
Desired Qualifications:
- Formal project management certification (e.g., Project Management Professional [PMP], Certified associate in project management [CAPM], Agile Certified Practitioner [PMI-ACP], or PMI Scheduling Professional [PMI-SP]).
- Familiarity with Counter Threat Finance (CTF) terminology or intelligence community operational frameworks.
- Experience establishing an IMS for military training, curriculum development, or personnel certification programs.
- Advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Excel, or SharePoint Lists to build automated project tracking dashboards.
Compensation Details:
$115,000 - $125,000 Annually
