Project Manager I

Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from design to release, including project initiation, execution, delivery, and closeout.
- Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Identify necessary resources for projects and coordinate their allocation.
- Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters.
- Manage simple projects such as studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort, services only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
- Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs as needed.
- Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
- Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
- Adapt to changes and remain flexible to ensure project success.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Sustainment Engineering, ILS, Tech Pubs, Configuration Management, and Liaison Engineering to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle
- Support planning and execution activities tied to green-aircraft sustainment tasks, including configuration updates, baseline reviews, and technical disposition integration.
- Facilitate communication of project impacts related to engineering changes, ensuring stakeholders understand timing, scope, and integration needs.
- Coordinate with engineering SMEs to ensure project actions remain aligned with airworthiness, maintainability, and configuration control expectations.
- Integrate Sustainment Engineering considerations into project schedules and decision points.
- Monitor project interfaces related to technical publications updates and ensure deliverables stay synchronized with evolving engineering data.
- Support routing, coordination, and tracking of engineering change activities (ECR/ECN) to maintain project momentum and configuration integrity.
- Collaborate with Liaison Engineering teams to ensure project tasks incorporate test-plan alignment, EWAs, NCs, and any required troubleshooting or disposition reviews.
- Assist in identifying cross-IPT dependencies and ensure project plans reflect those handoffs.
- Provide structured status updates that connect project progress to sustainment engineering objectives, risks, and key decision needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross‑functional engineering and logistics teams.
- Comfortable handling shifting priorities and adapting plans in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail when tracking project data, milestones, and documentation.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain organization across multiple concurrent tasks or small projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or similar tool.
- Experience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets.
- Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution.
- Experience in resource planning and management during project execution.
- Experience with risk management planning and documentation.
- Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.
- Familiarity with cross‑functional engineering environments
- Comfort working with configuration‑controlled documentation or change processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse technical and non‑technical teams.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Capacity to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
