Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Project Manager professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in 100% on-site Oklahoma City, OK.

This is an individual contributor role and is not a management/leadership opportunity.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

This position will oversee and manages all assigned proposal activities for newly requested efforts, serving as the primary liaison between program management, planning, and program execution teams. Maintains proposal status, manages timelines, and prepares weekly status reports. Identifies issues and develops resolutions to achieve productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction objectives, while coordinating the development of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, and technical specifications. Provides comprehensive project management support for end‑to‑end proposal activities, ensuring effective planning, schedule adherence, stakeholder coordination, and on‑time completion of all proposal deliverables.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide consistent proposal support of assigned operating unit proposals
  • Assess Proposal issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and Operating unit’s goals and objectives
  • Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders.
  • Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
  • Creation, review, and finalization of the program Statement of Work
  • Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of Proposal requirements
  • Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
  • Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
  • Development and adherence to master plans and schedules
  • Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation
  • Organizational/Time Management skills and ability to multitask

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree with 2 years’ experience, Masters Degree or in-lieu of degree with 6 years of experience. Experience must be in one or more of the following: Project Management, Price/Cost Analysis, Scheduling, Contracts, Supplier Management, Proposals, Program Management, Program Integration/Execution
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. government Secret or higher clearance and the ability to attain and maintain program access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading proposal efforts, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with Proposals
  • Experience working with Basis of Estimate (BOE) and analyzing quality.
  • Working knowledge of internal proposal or program processes, standards, and lifecycle phases
  • Experience with development and/or management of Statements of Work (SOW), requirements, or contractual deliverables
  • Prior experience with cross-functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership or key stakeholders
  • Candidate must be an effective communicator and will be expected to build relationships across program functions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $62,100.00 - $93,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
