Pratt & Whitney’s Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) Engineering team is seeking a motivated Project Engineer II to join our Engine Control Unit (ECU) team. In this role, you will support the planning and execution of engineering activities to help the Integrated Product Team (IPT) achieve its goals and objectives for the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). The ECU IPT is responsible for the full life cycle of the component, providing the Project Engineer with the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of activities, from validation testing and engineering changes to production delivery support, field support, and technical investigations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to manage priorities, resolve technical challenges, and drive projects to successful completion. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, collaborative, customer focused, and an effective communicator, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic engineering environment supporting a critical engine program.
What You Will Do:
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the IPT and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support schedule, risk, and resource management to ensure successful execution of program requirements.
- Track project progress, identify risks and potential issues, and communicate status, impacts, and recommendations to the CIPT and management.
- Coordinate project activities across functional organizations, including procurement, manufacturing, validation, and engineering, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Lead and coordinate hardware and validation activities, including hardware delivery planning and execution of required validation and testing.
- Support the resolution of technical and programmatic issues to maintain project schedules and achieve customer and program commitments.
- Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across functional organizations.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, risk-management, and results-oriented skills, with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- Experience with project management and planning, including budget and schedule management and tools such as Agile, SAP, Primavera, and/or Microsoft Project.
- Experience with hot-section gas turbine components and/or module-level engineering, as well as executing Engineering Changes through the Product Change and Incorporation Review (PCIR) process.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, and/or Confluence.

Mechanical Systems, Externals, & Nacelles (MSEN): The MSEN organization is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings, gears, and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
